IS THERE INTELLIGENT LIFE ON OTHER PLANETS?

Apart from the earth is there any other place in the universe where life exists? The only conclusive answer we can give is we do not know.

There are 100 billion stars in the Milky Way galaxy and a substantial number of them would be having planetary systems. Again in them there would be planets having climatic conditions similar to the earth that can support life. That being so, again there would be intelligent life in some of those planets. If that is the case then at least some of those would be more intelligent and advanced than us and would be well versed with interplanetary travel.

All the research carried out till now has not been able to reveal existence of life on other planets. The Earth did not receive any travelers from interplanetary space till now. There are lots of reporting’s about UFO’s and other phenomena but none of them could be proved. At any rate if another civilization visits us they would be far advanced than us because they would have had to master travelling at or over the speed of light. They would be having weapons systems that are far superior to us and our weapons would be utterly helpless against them. If they ever come to earth they would certainly try to communicate with us and would not go around in UFO’s and hide from us. If we ourselves visit another planet with an intelligent life we would do the same.

No other civilization has communicated with us so far even through radio transmissions. Is it that no civilization in the universe has advanced enough to reach the speed of light? This appears highly improbable as some civilizations if they do exist would be far advanced than us and they should be able to certainly communicate with us.

That leaves out only two possible explanations:

1. Apart from earth no other planet in the universe has intelligent life and we are all alone in the universe.

OR

2. The speed of light barrier can never be approached or surpassed.

These are just the possibilities our logic leads to. It is probable that we are missing something in the equation with our human centric thinking and the future (if mankind survives for enough time that is) may reveal this missing link.
